Amanda D. Sasnett is a lawyer and partner with Jones & Sasnett, PA.
Born in Florence, South Carolina, she moved to eastern North Carolina at a young age and grew up on her family’s farm near Pinetown, North Carolina. Amanda completed her undergraduate studies at East Carolina University where she graduated cum laude
with a Bachelor of Science in Family and Community Services with a minor in Sociology and Family Studies. Amanda earned her Juris Doctor at Charlotte School of Law in 2015, where she graduated summa cum laude. She was admitted to the North Carolina State Bar the same year.
Amanda has made it a point in her career to become well versed in different areas of law in an effort to provide comprehensive representation to her clients. Much of her practice is devoted to the creation, retention, and protection of familial assets, which encompasses real estate closings, estate planning, pre and post marital agreements, separation and property settlement agreements, and equitable distribution and alimony cases in the event of divorce. In addition to real estate, estate planning, and family law matters, Amanda serves as counsel for local municipalities and corporations.
Amanda is passionate about giving back to her local community, the same community that voted her as one of Washington’s Favorite Attorneys in 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022 in the "Best of the Pamlico" contest held by the Washington Daily News. She has served on the Board of Directors for InnerBanks Legal Services since its creation in 2017. She was nominated to serve as Secretary/Treasurer of the Second Judicial District Bar in 2016 and served in that capacity until 2021. Amanda serves on the Advisory Council for the Boys and Girls Club of the Coastal Plains. Of all of her roles, the role most dear to her heart is sitting on the Scholarship Selection Committee for the Reid Sasnett Memorial Scholarship.
Amanda resides in Washington, NC with her son.
